Vale Global is supporting a Workday services organization hiring a permanent Workday Payroll Lead.
This role sits within a delivery environment supporting multiple clients. The focus is hands-on Payroll configuration, advisory support, and serving as the go-to functional SME across active Workday programs.
The expectation is ownership, accountability, and confidence in client-facing discussions.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
• Leading Workday Payroll configuration across client environments
• Advising on U.S. payroll legislation and compliance considerations
• Supporting new implementations and post-go-live optimization
• Partnering with HCM, Benefits, and Finance workstreams
• Translating business requirements into scalable Payroll design
• Troubleshooting complex payroll and tax scenarios
• Acting as escalation point for Payroll-related issues
What They’re Looking For
• Strong functional expertise in Workday Payroll
• Deep understanding of U.S. payroll regulations and tax structures
• Experience operating in a consulting or multi-client environment
• Ability to manage stakeholders confidently
• Comfortable owning Payroll design decisions
