We are seeking an experienced and visionary Vice President of Data to lead the data strategy and execution for one our MedTech clients. The VP of Data will be responsible for shaping and overseeing all aspects of data management, analytics, and strategy to drive business insights and innovation across the company. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of the MedTech landscape, ensuring our data initiatives support product development, clinical research, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities
- Data Strategy Development: Define and implement a comprehensive data strategy aligned with the company's business goals and growth objectives, ensuring data is leveraged as a key asset across all functions.
- Data Architecture & Governance: Oversee the design and implementation of scalable data architecture, ensuring secure, compliant, and efficient data pipelines for clinical, operational, and business use.
- Advanced Analytics & AI Initiatives: Lead data science and AI-driven projects to extract actionable insights from diverse data sources, improving patient outcomes, product innovation, and operational efficiency.
- Team Leadership: Build and manage a high-performing data team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with R&D, IT, regulatory, and commercial teams to support data-driven decision-making in product development, clinical trials, and regulatory submissions.
- Regulatory & Compliance Oversight: Ensure data handling complies with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, MDR) and supports data integrity in clinical and operational settings.
- Technology & Tool Integration: Guide the selection and implementation of data technologies and tools, ensuring seamless integration across the company's technology stack.
- Performance Metrics & Reporting: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for data initiatives and provide regular updates to the executive team on progress and impact.
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in data leadership roles, preferably within MedTech, healthcare, or life sciences sectors.
- Technical Expertise: Strong background in data architecture, data governance, machine learning, and advanced analytics, with hands-on experience in Python, SQL, and data modeling.
- Leadership: Proven ability to build and lead cross-functional data teams, drive innovation, and deliver on complex data projects.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of data compliance and regulatory requirements in the MedTech industry.
- Problem Solving: A strategic thinker with a hands-on, problem-solving approach and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field. PhD is a plus.
