Seeking an experienced Video Editor (10+ years) with a strong background in television and commercial advertising to craft high-impact:90 promotional spots for broadcast and digital platforms. This is a part-time, fully remote contractor role, with preference for candidates based in South or Central America, India, or Africa to support flexible collaboration across time zones.
Key responsibilities- Edit :90 commercial promos from supplied scripts and briefed concepts, delivering polished spots optimized for TV and digital use.
- Assemble and refine layered timelines combining b‑roll, primary footage, motion graphics, supers, and licensed music to create cohesive, on-brand stories.
- Create rough cuts, fine cuts, and final masters, incorporating internal and client feedback efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Perform color correction, basic grading, audio sweetening, and music/sfx integration to broadcast or platform-ready standards.
- Collaborate remotely with producers
- Version spots for multiple platforms (broadcast, social, online video), aspect ratios, and durations
- Maintain clean, organized project files, media management, and clear naming/versioning conventions in shared storage environments.
- Stay current on post-production best practices and platform specs to ensure deliverables are technically compliant and creatively competitive.
- 10+ years of professional experience as a video editor in television, commercial advertising, or entertainment marketing environments.
- Demonstrated portfolio of broadcast and/or digital commercials, trailers, promos, or brand campaigns, ideally including 30–90 spots.
- Advanced proficiency in industry-standard NLEs such as Adobe Premiere Pro (preferred) and strong working knowledge of After Effects for titles, simple motion graphics, and finishing.
- Solid understanding of visual storytelling, rhythm, pacing, and shot selection for short-form promotional content.
- Experience working with layered graphics packages, lower thirds, supers, and end cards provided by design teams or brand toolkits.
- Strong skills in color correction, audio levels/mixing, and preparing exports to spec for broadcast and major digital platforms.
- Proven ability to work remotely, hit tight deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal oversight.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with comfort collaborating asynchronously via tools like Slack, Zoom, and project management platforms.
- Based in South or Central America, India, or Africa, with reliable high-speed internet and a professional home editing setup.
- Prior experience editing for US clients, with an understanding of international broadcast and social platform standards.
- Background working with creative agencies, broadcast networks, or in-house brand/marketing teams on commercial campaigns.
- Familiarity with music licensing workflows and rights usage for commercial spots.
