Our client, a growing lifestyle brand is seeking a Social Content Editor to support growth across social campaigns. This is a project based freelance position that is fully remote. Must be US based.
This role focuses on transforming raw footage into elevated, culture-driving short-form content for platforms like Instagram Reels and TikTok.
The ideal candidate combines sharp technical editing skills with a refined visual and editorial taste, capable of taking content from a basic social post level to the polished, aspirational aesthetic of luxury fashion houses.
Responsibilities
- Edit raw video footage into compelling short-form content (Reels, TikToks, short vertical video series) that aligns with a luxury brand aesthetic.
- Craft storylines, pacing, and emotional arcs suitable for social-first consumption, while maintaining the brand’s voice and persona.
- Elevate existing concepts and assets to a premium, fashion-forward standard—comparable to top-tier luxury brands.
- Collaborate closely with creative, social, and brand teams to interpret briefs and translate them into visually striking edits.
- Optimize content for each platform (aspect ratios, length, hooks, captions, sound) while preserving a high-end, cinematic feel.
- Incorporate music, sound design, graphics, and light motion design to enhance storytelling without compromising a refined aesthetic.
- Iterate quickly based on feedback and performance insights, delivering multiple versions and cutdowns as needed.
- Maintain organized project files, version control, and efficient workflows suitable for fast-paced social content production.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Social Content Editor, Video Editor, or similar role, with a portfolio of vertical social content (Reels/TikTok) that demonstrates elevated, editorial-level work.
- Advanced proficiency in professional editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve); basic After Effects or motion graphics skills are a plus.
- Strong sense of pacing, music selection, and narrative flow tailored to short-form content.
- Demonstrated ability to elevate simple/raw footage into premium, visually cohesive edits on par with luxury fashion and beauty brands.
- Experience working with fashion, beauty, lifestyle, or high-profile / celebrity brands is highly preferred.
- Deep familiarity with current social trends, sounds, formats, and best practices, with the ability to apply them in a sophisticated, brand-appropriate way.
- Exceptional attention to detail, color, composition, and typography.
- Comfort working under tight deadlines and managing multiple projects concurrently.
- Strong communication skills and openness to collaborative feedback.
