Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the event coordinator to understand the event’s objectives and key messages
- Edit and assemble raw footage into a polished explainer video, ensuring clarity and engagement
- Incorporate graphics, titles, and transitions to enhance storytelling
- Ensure the final video aligns with the event’s cultural theme and intended audience
- Manage project timelines to deliver the completed video within one week
- Implement feedback and revisions promptly as required
- Proven experience as a video editor, ideally with a portfolio featuring event or explainer videos
- Advanced proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve
- Strong sense of visual storytelling, pacing, and narrative structure
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with remote clients
- Excellent attention to detail and creative problem-solving skills
- Must be based in Canada; remote work only
- Availability to start immediately and deliver within a one-week timeframe
- Experience with cultural or community event content is a plus
