Position: Video Editing Expert

Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
Role Responsibilities
- Execute end-to-end video editing projects using OpenShot or Shotcut, from raw footage organization to final export.
- Demonstrate authentic editing workflows, including asset management, sequencing, pacing, and creative decision-making for AI training purposes.
- Clearly articulate editing rationale and creative choices in written and verbal formats.
- Optimize workflows to improve efficiency, storytelling quality, and production value.
- Troubleshoot technical and creative challenges while documenting problem-solving approaches.
- Participate in feedback sessions to refine video editing best practices and training standards.
- Contribute to a transparent, knowledge-sharing environment focused on improving AI understanding of professional editing processes.
Requirements
- Advanced, hands-on expertise in OpenShot or Shotcut with full-project completion experience.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating transformation of raw footage into polished, compelling content.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage and organize large digital asset libraries and complex timelines.
- High attention to detail and proactive problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment.
- Interest in contributing to AI training and workflow documentation initiatives.
