This role involves crafting a memorable video montage from GoPro and iPhone footage and photos, documenting a day-long journey through Manhattan. The project is a personal commission to celebrate a decade of living in New York City, capturing the experience from the northern tip to the southern tip of the borough. The editor will creatively assemble available footage and images, bridging gaps where some video is missing, and enhance the final product with music and sound effects to deliver a polished, emotionally resonant keepsake.

Deliverables

• Edit and assemble GoPro and iPhone footage and photos into a cohesive video montage
• Integrate music and sound effects to enhance the viewing experience
• Fill gaps in footage using available photos and creative transitions
• Ensure the final video tells a compelling story of the day trip across Manhattan

Requirements

• Proven experience editing personal or travel video montages
• Proficiency with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve
• Ability to creatively combine mixed media (video and photos) for seamless storytelling
• Strong sense of pacing, music selection, and sound design
• Attention to detail and ability to work with incomplete footage
• Excellent communication skills and responsiveness
