VP - Commercial - Vascular (Start-Up)
The ideal candidate will be located in Germany, but open to other EU countries if you have direct experience in Germany
Are you ready to lead the European commercial launch of a disruptive medical device start-up in vascular surgery.
Our client are looking to hire their first EU commercial lead to build and execute the go-to-market strategy for a breakthrough technology and drive its successful adoption across key European markets.
Key Responsibilities:
Marketing Leadership & Strategy
- Lead the development and execution of a pan-European marketing strategy targeting vascular surgeons & nephrologists.
- Drive creation of educational and promotional materials.
- Build long-term brand trust through clinical engagement and cross-functional collaboration.
- Develop upstream marketing strategies based on feedback from key stakeholders.
- Represent the company at congresses, through medical society partnerships, and patient engagement initiatives.
Commercial Operations & Launch Readiness
- Identify and build relationships with KOLs and high-volume centers in Germany, France, and the UK.
- Design and scale the initial commercial infrastructure including sales teams, distributor agreements, and tender processes.
- Lead sales strategy development and execution, including pricing support and KOL education programs.
Market Access & Reimbursement
- Create robust market access and reimbursement strategies tailored to EU healthcare systems.
- Collaborate with vendors to prepare and submit reimbursement dossiers and health economic files.
- Plan phased market entry and long-term pricing strategies based on reimbursement outcomes.
Leadership & Reporting
- Act as the commercial lead in strategic discussions, reporting regularly to the CEO and Board.
- Inspire cross-functional teams during a critical growth and scale-up phase.
- Cultivate a high-performance culture focused on both clinical outcomes and commercial success.
Ideal Candidate:
Experience & Education
- 10+ years in senior commercial, marketing, or business development roles in medtech, ideally with EU launch experience in vascular surgery or related products that are class II/III.
- Strong relationships with KOLs in vascular surgery across Europe.
- Demonstrated experience in building commercial teams and infrastructure from the ground up.
Skills & Competencies
- Strategic thinker with a strong bias for execution.
- Hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset suited for a scale-up environment.
- Deep knowledge of European medtech regulatory, pricing, and reimbursement landscapes.
- Exceptional communicator and team player, capable of influencing at every level.
