Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Job Description
**Position Overview**
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a member of the company's core management team, holding overall responsibility for financial strategy, capital management, financial operations, treasury planning, risk control, investment decisions, and corporate governance. By establishing robust financial management systems, optimizing resource allocation, and enhancing profitability and capital efficiency, the CFO provides strategic decision-making support to the Board of Directors, the CEO, and the management team, driving sustainable growth and maximizing long-term shareholder value.
**Key Responsibilities**
**Financial Strategy and Corporate Governance**
* Formulate and implement the overall corporate financial strategy, ensuring alignment with the company's long-term development strategy.
* Provide financial analysis, strategic recommendations, and operational decision support to the Board of Directors and the CEO.
* Establish a comprehensive corporate financial governance system and internal control mechanisms.
* Drive corporate value creation and enhance return on capital and profitability.
**Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A)**
* Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and long-term financial planning processes.
* Develop financial models to analyze operational performance, profitability, and market trends.
* Define key financial indicators (KPIs) and continuously monitor corporate operational performance.
* Provide financial support to business units and optimize resource allocation.
**Financial Operations Management**
* Assume overall responsibility for accounting, financial reporting, taxation, and treasury management.
* Ensure financial information is accurate, reliable, timely, and compliant with applicable accounting standards.
* Optimize financial processes to improve operational efficiency and management standards.
* Establish shared services or digital financial systems (where applicable).
**Capital and Treasury Management**
* Formulate corporate capital strategies and financing plans.
* Manage cash flow, working capital, and capital structure.
* Build long-term partnerships with banks, investment institutions, and financial partners.
* Oversee financing, debt management, and capital market-related activities.
**Risk Management and Compliance**
* Establish an enterprise-wide financial risk management system.
* Oversee tax planning and tax compliance activities.
* Ensure compliance with financial regulations, supervisory policies, and audit requirements.
* Maintain effective cooperation with external auditors, legal counsel, and regulatory bodies.
**Investment and Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A)**
* Evaluate investment projects and capital allocation plans.
* Lead financial due diligence, business valuation, and transaction support.
* Participate in M&A, restructuring, asset integration, and post-investment management.
* Analyze return on investment (ROI) and long-term financial impact. Digital Finance and Continuous Optimization
Drive the digital transformation and intelligent development of the finance function.
Optimize financial management systems such as ERP, EPM, and BI.
Establish a data-driven framework for financial analysis and decision support.
Continuously improve financial processes to enhance automation and operational efficiency.
Team Leadership and Organizational Development
Build a high-performing finance team; oversee talent development and succession planning.
Strengthen organizational capabilities and foster cross-departmental collaboration.
Implement a performance management system to continuously enhance the team's professional expertise.
Cultivate a financial culture rooted in integrity, efficiency, and innovation.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree or higher.
Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field preferred.
MBA, Master of Finance, or other relevant postgraduate degree preferred.
Professional Certifications
CPA (Certified Public Accountant) preferred.
ACCA, CMA, CFA, or other internationally recognized financial certifications preferred.
Work Experience
12+ years of experience in financial management.
8+ years of experience in senior financial management.
Financial leadership experience in large enterprises, multinational corporations, or high-growth companies.
Experience in capital operations, financing, listed company operations, or international financial management preferred.
