We’re looking for a Venture Development Associate/ EiR to sit between Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) and Account Executives (AEs), owning early-stage enterprise interest and developing it into named, AE-ready opportunities.
This is a high-ownership position for someone with an entrepreneurial mindset who will take the BDR / venture development function from zero to one. You will be responsible for designing and implementing the core processes, qualification frameworks, playbooks, and operating cadence, then evolving them as the function scales.
This role is for someone comfortable building multi-stakeholder relationships and going the extra mile to progress accounts that aren’t ready for immediate AE focus.

🔥 Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of early-stage demand from SDR-sourced and inbound leads that demonstrate interest but are not yet sales-qualified opportunities.
- Take the BDR / venture development function from zero to one, building the core processes, qualification frameworks, playbooks, and operating cadence before scaling.
- Develop accounts, not just contacts, progressing them from initial interest to opportunity-ready through disciplined qualification and follow-up.
- Qualify accounts to EIS standards (emotional buy-in, intent clarity, strategic relevance).
- Map, build, and actively engage multi-stakeholder buying groups (5–15+ personas), identifying decision-makers, champions, and blockers.
- Design and run multi-channel engagement motions (calls, email, LinkedIn, founder-level outreach), maintaining end-to-end ownership of each account for ~1 month
- Generate high-fidelity ground truth on ICP, messaging, objections, and buying processes, using learnings to shape the first scalable BDR motion and broader GTM strategy.
- Qualify inbound and outbound opportunities with a focus on long-term expansion potential
- Lead early discovery conversations and selected first calls, handing over clean, well-validated opportunities to AEs or founders once the path to value is clear.
- Keep CRM data accurate and handovers tight.
- Occasionally own and close smaller pilot or launch-pack deals.
- Graduated with a Bachelor's or Master's degree at a top-tier university or similar.
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in B2B business development, venture development, consulting, or a similar customer-facing role at a high-growth startup or scale-up environment.
- Prior SaaS, enterprise, consulting, or GSI exposure is a strong plus.
- Strong business conversationalist; able to engage on multiple enterprise topics.
- Structured and process-driven, but comfortable working without a fixed playbook. Experience taking things from zero to one is a strong plus.
- Comfortable with phone-heavy, multi-channel prospecting.
- Fluent in English; comfortable working with global enterprise stakeholders.
