Everyone says UX is dead. We say it's just getting started.
What You Will Do
We are looking for a UX Designer who is excited to shape automation experiences for our engineering customers – from visual programming all the way to interactive multi-agent systems using the latest AI technology.
At Synera design isn’t a handoff – it’s a core part of how we build. You’ll lead discovery, map complex user journeys (many of them technical), and prototype solutions alongside developers. As part of a tightly-knit product trio with your Product Owner and Tech Lead in one of our R&D teams, you’ll help define the product vision, bring structure to ambiguity, and ensure that what we ship is not just functional, but truly intuitive. You’ll work closely with real users from the engineering world and continuously refine the experience based on their feedback and real use cases. If you’re looking to own the end-to-end process and have a visible impact from day one, we’d love to meet you.
Your tasks will be:
✨ Lead Discovery & Design
You organize and facilitate design sessions, uncover and define user journeys, and prototype ideas in close collaboration with developers. From early concepts to polished designs - you own the experience.
📣 Drive Feedback Loops
You engage with real users (many are engineers) to gather insights, test assumptions, and continuously improve the experience based on real-world use.
🤝 Work in the Product Trio
As part of the product trio - with your Product Owner and Tech Lead - you shape the product vision, gather requirements, and turn complexity into clarity. You be the voice of the user in a team that values engineering and usability equally.
⏱ Deliver Value with Quality
You balance creativity with pragmatism - ensuring high-quality design while meeting sprint goals. We ship iteratively, and your designs will have a fast, visible impact.
🌱 Strengthen Our Design Culture
You actively participate in design critiques and help raise the bar across the team. We believe in growing together and maintaining a consistent, intuitive design system across the product.
🌐 Collaborate Across Teams
You coordinate with Rieke, our UX designer in other product areas to ensure a seamless, coherent experience across the entire platform.
In the first 6 months: You start to take ownership for a part of the application.
By 12 months: You will have full ownership of the design of one of our products.
Find your design team members on the photo and join our next team event to connect, relax, and have fun together with other Synerians!
WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?
Even if you don't meet these criteria perfectly but believe you have lots to bring to the role, we encourage you to apply. We know it's tough, but please keep in mind that you don't have to match all the listed requirements exactly to be considered for this role.
Why Synera?
Synera is a connected engineering platform that accelerates product development by a factor of ten, as proven by numerous customers in the automotive, aerospace and consumer goods industries such as Airbus, BMW, EDAG and Miele. We achieve this by integrating all relevant data, tools and expert knowledge into a low-code environment where engineers can store, share and reuse their work.
We change the way product development works and are looking for a UX Designer (f/m/d). Do you want to join?
