About the Role

Salesforce is seeking a talented and driven User Experience Researcher to join the Marketing Cloud UX Design Studio. In this role, you'll help shape intelligent and user-friendly Marketing Automation and AI tools. You'll collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and engineers to build research-informed products that solve real customer problems.

You’ll own the research process end-to-end—from discovery and generative research to usability testing—while being the voice of the customer across the product lifecycle.

What You'll Do

  • Lead qualitative and quantitative UX research for a key Marketing Cloud product area
  • Conduct discovery research to understand user goals, pain points, and workflows
  • Run usability testing sessions, interviews, surveys, and heuristic evaluations
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to translate insights into product improvements
  • Develop research plans, screeners, protocols, and analysis reports
  • Present findings clearly through storytelling, presentations, and actionable insights
  • Advocate for research-informed decisions in product design and strategy

Key Skills & Experience

  • 8–10 years of hands-on UX research experience, preferably in SaaS, marketing tech, or enterprise tools
  • Strong knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methods
  • Experience conducting user research across all phases of the product lifecycle
  • Excellent communication, storytelling, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to synthesize insights into clear, concise recommendations
  • Proficient with tools like Morae, WebEx, or rapid prototyping platforms (Axure is a plus)
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in HCI, Cognitive Psychology, Human Factors, or related field
  • Strong portfolio showcasing research process and impact on product decisions

Preferred Traits

  • Strategic thinker with a user-first mindset
  • Comfortable working independently and managing multiple research projects
  • Passionate about AI, marketing technology, and enterprise UX
  • Collaborative and adaptable to a fast-paced, remote-first environment
