We're on the lookout for a creative and enthusiastic Senior UI/UX Designer to join our growing team in Independence, OH or remote. As a UI/UX Designer, you'll play a crucial role in contributing to the design and development of user-centric interfaces for our digital products and platform. To be successful in this role, you should have experience with designing software and wireframe tools. Responsibilities
- Lead in conducting user research to understand user needs, preferences, and behaviors.
- Conduct and synthesize user research to inform design decisions.
- Create wireframes, and high-fidelity prototypes to visualize and communicate design concepts.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers and product managers, to ensure design feasibility and alignment with project goals.
- Implement feedback from team members and users to refine and improve designs.
- Assist in preparing design documentation, including user flows, design specifications, style guides, and updates to our design system.
- Stay informed about current design trends, emerging technologies, and industry best practices.
- Give and receive thoughtful feedback in design critiques
- Job responsibilities and any other duties needed to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission, and support our organization’s values.
- Bachelor's degree in UI/UX Design, Graphic Design, HCI, a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of professional UI/UX design experience.
- Strong portfolio showcasing design projects and your design process.
- Ability to conduct and interpret user testing and usability research methodologies.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, or similar.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Eagerness to learn and grow in a dynamic team environment.
- Ability to iterate on designs based on feedback and react in a constructive manner to direct feedback and constructive criticism.
- Experience working with design systems and component libraries
- Familiarity with front-end development technologies, no need to write code, but understanding how things work with their designs (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
- Understanding of accessibility standards and guidelines.
- Solid organizational, planning and self-motivation skills
- Exceptional attention to detail with respect to creating visual design concepts and assets
