Position: Transcription Expert (Psychology)

Commitment: 10-40 hours/week
Role Responsibilities
- Transcribe audio recordings with high accuracy, focusing on speaker tone, sentiment, and emotional cues.
- Identify and classify a wide range of emotions expressed by speakers in different contexts.
- Develop, refine, and apply structured rubrics for emotion detection and speaker categorization.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to maintain consistency and accuracy in emotional classification.
- Provide detailed written reports and verbal insights on emotional patterns and findings.
- Participate in training sessions to stay updated on best practices in transcription and emotion analysis.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards when handling sensitive information.
Requirements
- Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in Psychology, Linguistics, or a related field.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with native-level English proficiency.
- Demonstrated experience in transcription, linguistic analysis, or psychological assessment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to distinguish nuanced emotions in speech.
- Experience developing or applying classification rubrics for qualitative analysis.
- Strong organizational and time management skills in remote work environments.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with distributed teams.
