About the RoleSociallyin is looking for a social-first creative who lives and breathes TikTok & IG. This role is for someone who can brainstorm, script, and edit TikToks that feel native, on-trend, and unmistakably on-brand—across a wide range of clients and industries.
Editing is the most important part of this role. You should be able to take a concept and execute it end-to-end with confidence, speed, and taste.
- Brainstorm TikTok concepts for a variety of clients (B2B, B2C, corporate, lifestyle, etc.)
- Develop fully formed concepts, including:
- Hooks
- Scripts
- On-screen text
- Visual references and examples
- Edit TikToks that are native to the platform and aligned with each brand’s voice and guidelines
- Apply trend awareness thoughtfully—knowing when to lean in and when not to
- Execute fast turnarounds while maintaining quality and brand consistency
- Collaborate closely with the Creative Director and take creative direction clearly and professionally
- Stay ahead of platform updates, trends, and pop culture moments
- Adapt concepts and edits based on performance insights and feedback
- Strong pacing, timing, and rhythm
- Clean, intentional captions and on-screen text
- Confident use of:
- Cuts
- Text animation
- Music and sound design
- Ability to edit for different brand tones (corporate, playful, educational, premium, etc.)
- Content feels TikTok-native, not repurposed or forced
- In alignment with brand guidelines
- Proven experience creating and editing TikToks for brands or agencies
- Strong understanding of TikTok trends, internet culture, and pop culture
- Deep knowledge of social media best practices
- Ability to think creatively and strategically at the same time
- Fast, organized, and detail-oriented
- Comfortable reporting to a Creative Director and working within established creative direction
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Experience working in an agency environment
- Familiarity with performance metrics and what drives TikTok engagement
- Light motion graphics or advanced text animation skills
- Examples of edited TikToks for brands (not just personal content)
- Proof of editing range across different tones and industries
