ki:elements pioneers speech-based biomarkers as tools for clinical research. We are seeking a strategic and commercially minded Therapeutic Area Lead to guide the development, positioning, and market success of SB-C, our speech biomarker for cognition.

This role combines product ownership with commercial leadership — shaping the vision, driving adoption, and acting as the trusted external champion of SB-C across the Alzheimer’s disease and cognitive health ecosystem.

You will own the end-to-end strategy for SB-C: from defining the product roadmap and market fit to leading external engagement with pharma and biotech partners. You will be the bridge between science, product, and business — ensuring SB-C continues to advance as the industry’s most trusted digital cognitive assessment.

Tasks

  • Define and own the strategic vision and roadmap for SB-C within Alzheimer’s disease and related cognitive disorders.

  • Work closely with R&D, data science, clinical, and regulatory teams to align technical development with customer and market needs.

  • Translate market insights and clinical developments into product requirements and value propositions.

  • Guide evidence-generation and validation strategies to strengthen product credibility and differentiation.

  • Act as the primary commercial champion for SB-C — representing the product externally with clients, partners, and industry bodies.

  • Build and manage strategic partnerships with pharma, biotech, CROs, and digital health collaborators deploying SB-C.

  • Lead go-to-market planning, pricing strategy, and client engagement approaches.

  • Support business development by articulating the clinical and commercial value of SB-C to prospective partners.

  • Monitor competitive landscape and market trends in AD and digital biomarkers to identify growth opportunities.

  • Serve as a trusted expert in cognition and Alzheimer’s disease, supporting client implementation and ensuring scientific credibility.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally across the organization to drive alignment and impact.

  • Represent SB-C at key scientific and industry events, publications, and collaborations.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in neuroscience, psychology, pharmacology, or a related field; MBA or equivalent commercial experience is an asset.

  • Between 5 and 15 years of expertise in Alzheimer’s disease drug development, cognitive assessment, or biomarker strategy, ideally with product or commercial exposure.

  • Deep understanding of cognition, clinical endpoints, and the evolving biomarker landscape in neurodegenerative diseases.

  • Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen.

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

  • Comfortable operating at the interface of science and business.

  • Experience engaging pharma or biotech partners is highly desirable.

  • Up to 30% travel.

Benefits

  • ki:elements offers a four-day workweek (100% = 32 hours; Mo-Th)

  • Remote (Europe & US East Coast preferred) or at our offices in Berlin & Saarbrücken.

  • Be part of a pioneering company at the forefront of healthcare innovation.

  • Work with a talented and passionate team dedicated to making a difference.

  • 85.000€ - 120.000€ base salary in full time (100%); part-time equivalent.
