Role Responsibilities
- Operate telephone switchboards and systems to establish and manage various types of calls including local, long-distance, and emergency connections
- Monitor signal indicators and perform actions required to connect and route calls efficiently
- Maintain and update directory information and records of calls and related charges
- Assist customers with billing inquiries and special service requests
- Provide support to individuals requiring assistance, including emergency situations and accessibility needs
- Perform clerical tasks such as typing, proofreading, and handling correspondence
- Monitor automated calling systems and intervene when assistance is required
- Promote relevant services and plans when appropriate during customer interactions
- Professional experience as a Telephone Operator with hands-on exposure to switchboard and telecommunications systems
- Strong written communication skills and ability to work with computer-based tools and platforms
- Familiarity with call handling procedures, billing support, and directory services
- Ability to translate practical experience into structured content for AI training purposes
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
- Access to a desktop or laptop computer (Chromebooks not supported)
