Paralos Energy is an established EPC contractor for energy infrastructure projects, specializing in HV and UHV substations. Headquartered in Athens, Greece, the company operates across Greece, Romania, Bulgaria, and most recently, Germany. To lead and develop our technical and operational activities in Germany, we are seeking an experienced Technical Director. The role reports directly to the General Manager and plays a central role in building Paralos Energy’s long-term presence in the German market.
Your Responsibilities
Leadership & Organization
- Lead and further develop Paralos Energy’s technical and operational activities in Germany
- Build, manage, and develop local teams and organizational structures
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with German transmission and distribution system operators, authorities, and key stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with German laws, permits, safety regulations, and applicable technical and construction standards
- Oversee subcontractors and suppliers at a strategic and contractual level
- Represent Paralos Energy in meetings, negotiations, and official appointments
- Prepare management reports, forecasts, and technical input for strategic decision-making
Project Oversight
- Overall responsibility for the successful execution of projects in Germany, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and in accordance with contractual, technical, and regulatory requirements
- Provide technical, contractual, and organizational guidance to project teams
- Support the resolution of complex technical, commercial, and execution-related issues
- Ensure effective coordination between local teams, headquarters, and external partners
Your Profile
- University degree in Engineering or a comparable technical field
- Several years of professional experience in senior technical and/or project management roles within energy infrastructure projects
- Proven experience with high-voltage and extra-high-voltage substations
- Solid experience working with German grid operators, authorities, and permitting processes
- Demonstrated leadership skills, including team building and people management
- Strong knowledge of project controls, budgeting, scheduling, and contract management
- Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
- Hands-on, structured, and solution-oriented working style
