Role Description
Join us as a Web Developer Intern to architect the digital tools that power our mission. You’ll develop and maintain our core website, donation platform, and content ecosystem while creating high-impact campaign pages. Ideal for proactive problem-solvers passionate about leveraging technology for social justice.
Key Responsibilities
Core Digital Platform Development
- Build and maintain our responsive NGO website using modern frameworks (e.g., React, Next.js)
- Develop/optimize secure donation payment flows and e-commerce functionality (web-shop integration)
- Implement and manage CMS for dynamic content (articles, events, survivor resources)
- Create campaign-specific landing pages for fundraising drives and advocacy initiatives
Technical Execution & Optimization
- Ensure platform security (PCI compliance for payments, data protection)
- Conduct A/B testing and analytics integration (e.g., Google Analytics) to optimize user journeys
- Troubleshoot bugs and improve site performance (speed, accessibility, mobile responsiveness)
- Collaborate with marketing/advocacy teams to translate needs into technical solutions
Qualifications
- Technical Foundation: Experience with HTML/CSS/JavaScript and at least one framework (e.g., React, Vue, Angular)
- Backend/Database Exposure: Familiarity with server-side tech (Node.js, Python,) and databases (SQL/NoSQL)
- Platform Experience: Knowledge of CMS (Strapi), payment gateways (Stripe/PayPal), or e-commerce systems
- Problem-Solving Aptitude: Ability to debug issues and implement scalable solutions
- Remote Collaboration: Self-driven attitude with proficiency in Git, project management tools (ClickUp/Jira)
- Passion for Impact: Commitment to child protection and human rights causes
- Bonus Skills: UX/UI design, SEO, cloud services (AWS/Azure), or analytics implementation
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or related technical fields
