About SonderMind

At SonderMind, we know that therapy works. SonderMind provides accessible, personalized mental healthcare that produces high-quality outcomes for patients. SonderMind's individualized approach to care starts with using innovative technology to help people not just find a therapist, but find the right, in-network therapist for them, should they choose to use their insurance. From there, SonderMind's clinicians are committed to delivering best-in-class care to all patients by focusing on high-quality clinical outcomes. To enable our clinicians to thrive, SonderMind defines care expectations while providing tools such as clinical note-taking, secure telehealth capabilities, outcome measurement, messaging, and direct booking. At SonderMind, we are revolutionizing mental healthcare by leveraging technology to provide personalized and effective mental health solutions.

About The Role

SonderMind is on a mission to change how the world accesses and utilizes mental health care, and the people we hire are central to making that possible. As our Talent Partner, you will own full-cycle recruiting for some of SonderMind's most important functions: clinical operations, go-to-market, finance, G&A, and people. You will report to the Manager, Talent, and be one of the primary faces of SonderMind in the talent market.

This is a role built on genuine partnership. You will work closely with hiring managers to understand their teams and needs, set a high bar for quality in every search, and represent SonderMind with care and authenticity in every candidate interaction. If you care deeply about doing recruiting well and want to contribute to a company that takes its mission seriously, we'd love to talk.

What You'll Do

  • Own full-cycle recruiting across clinical operations, go-to-market, finance, G&A, and people functions, from intake through offer close
  • Create a candidate experience that reflects SonderMind’s values at every touchpoint; every candidate who interacts with us should walk away with a positive impression of the company, regardless of the outcome
  • Contribute to SonderMind’s employer brand in the market; show up authentically in every candidate conversation, represent our mission honestly, and help build the kind of reputation that makes talented people want to work here
  • Collaborate with cross-functional peers (POBPs, Finance, etc.) on pipeline status, updates, and strategic changes on talent
  • Actively learn and integrate AI tools into your recruiting workflow as the function builds out its AI roadmap, including leveraging and maintaining data in our ATS
  • And other responsibilities and ad-hoc projects from time to time, based on business need

What does success look like?

  • At 30 days, you have invested in learning our systems, processes, and people. You have met with every hiring manager in your orgs, completed intake calls on all active reqs, and have started to have qualified candidates moving through your pipelines.
  • At 90 days, you are operating independently and with confidence. Your hiring managers are giving you strong feedback on partnership quality. You are meeting all data and process standards, closing offers thoughtfully, and flagging pipeline risks before they become problems.
  • At 6 months, you are a trusted business partner, proactively sharing market intelligence, advising on role design, and contributing to process improvements across the recruiting function. The quality of your hires is evident; the people you brought in are ramping well, meeting expectations, and staying. Your offer acceptance rate is at or above 85%, and AI tools are a natural part of your workflow.

Who You Are

  • A thoughtful problem solver; when a search isn't working, you take the time to understand why, form a point of view, and bring a solution rather than waiting to be redirected
  • A relationship builder; candidates feel respected and informed throughout the process; hiring managers trust you because you understand their business, not just their open roles; you adapt naturally, whether you are talking to an entry-level candidate or a company leader
  • A communicator who reads the room; you can facilitate a debrief with a VP, deliver a thoughtful decline to a candidate, write outreach that resonates, and run an intake that produces a real brief
  • Someone who uses data to tell a story; recruiting metrics are the language you use to build credibility with business leaders, surface risk early, and connect talent decisions to business outcomes
  • Genuinely curious and always learning; you approach every search as an opportunity to get better, stay current on the market, and bring new thinking to your work
  • Actively seeks ways to improve their workflow and become more efficient through AI and other automation tools.

What we need you to bring:

  • 3-5 years of full-cycle recruiting experience in a fast-paced, high-growth, or healthcare environment; in-house experience strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a high req load across multiple functions simultaneously without sacrificing quality or candidate experience
  • Strong hiring manager partnership skills; you know how to run an intake, hold a thoughtful bar, and have honest conversations when a search strategy needs to shift
  • Clear, confident communication across formats: phone screens, debrief facilitation, offer conversations, and written candidate outreach
  • A data-driven approach to recruiting; you track your own metrics, use pipeline data to improve searches, and hold yourself accountable to outcomes
  • Ashby or comparable ATS proficiency; data hygiene is a non-negotiable part of how you work
  • Openness to learning and adopting new technology, including AI tools
  • A genuine commitment to equity, inclusion, and building representative pipelines in every search
