Venture Search is partnering with a newly launched, ~$1bn systematic investment platform with strong institutional backing to hire a Systematic Futures Portfolio Manager to build and lead a new trading pod.

This is a rare opportunity for an experienced PM to take on a high-impact role, with the autonomy to develop and scale strategies within a supportive and capital-rich environment.
The Role
As a Systematic Futures PM, you will:
- Build, launch, and scale a systematic futures trading pod
- Develop and manage fully systematic MFT strategies (intraday to ~3-week holding periods)
- Take full ownership of PnL generation, risk management, and capital deployment
- Drive alpha research and portfolio construction across global futures markets
- Collaborate with centralised infrastructure and technology teams to optimise performance
This role offers significant autonomy, with a focus on delivering scalable, risk-adjusted returns within a multi-PM platform.
Requirements
- Extensive track record managing risk capital at a top-tier firm
- Demonstrated Sharpe ratio of 2+ with consistent performance
- Proven ability to generate ~$10m+ annual PnL
- Experience running fully systematic futures strategies, ideally MFT (intraday to multi-week horizon)
- Strong risk management discipline and scalability mindset
- Ability to build and lead a trading pod within a competitive platform
