Supply Chain Manager (Semiconductor IC)

Location: Remote

Job Type: Full-time

Experience Level: Mid-Senior Level

Company Overview

POLYN Technology is an international semiconductor company with a global team operating across the UK, France, Israel and other EU countries. We are breaking the limits of traditional digital processors with a novel approach that embeds pre-trained neural networks directly into chips. Our breakthrough technology delivers 10x better energy efficiency and significantly reduces size and cost compared to standard solutions, enabling real-time AI in small, power-constrained devices. Join us as we scale this game-changing technology from engineering samples to mass production.

Role Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Supply Chain Manager to oversee the end-to-end flow of our Integrated Circuit (IC) engineering and production materials. In this role, you will be the operational bridge between our internal engineering teams and our external manufacturing partners (Foundries and OSATs).

You will manage the logistics of wafer starts, assembly, and test, ensuring that our New Product Introductions (NPI) and Mass Production (MP) schedules are met efficiently. The ideal candidate has a strong background in the fabless semiconductor ecosystem and is fluent in Mandarin Chinese to effectively communicate with our supply chain partners in Asia.

Key Responsibilities

1. Supply Chain Planning & Execution

  • Production Control: Manage the daily execution of the supply chain from Wafer Fab to Probe/Sort, Assembly, and Final Test.
  • PO Management: Generate, issue, and manage Purchase Orders (POs) for wafers, assembly, and testing services. Ensure pricing and terms align with MSA (Master Service Agreements).
  • NPI Support: Collaborate with Engineering to manage "hot lots" and engineering samples, ensuring critical R&D timelines are met.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of raw wafers, die banks, and finished goods to prevent shortages or excess liability.

2. Material Tracking & Logistics

  • WIP Tracking: Actively track Work-In-Progress (WIP) at external factories (Foundries/OSATs) daily. Identify holds, bottlenecks, or yield excursions and drive rapid resolution.
  • Logistics Coordination: Coordinate international shipments, manage customs documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists), and ensure compliance with import/export regulations.
  • Drop Shipments: Manage drop shipments to customers or distributors, ensuring On-Time Delivery (OTD) metrics are met.

3. Vendor Management

  • Partner Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for manufacturing partners (Foundries, OSATs).
  • Performance Monitoring: Track vendor performance against lead times and yield targets. Lead weekly conference calls with overseas vendors (requires flexibility for evening/morning calls due to time zones).
  • Cost Control: Review and approve vendor invoices, ensuring alignment with POs and quoted pricing.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of relevant supply chain or operations experience specifically within the Semiconductor industry (Fabless environment preferred).
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing steps (Fab, Bump, Wafer Sort, Assembly, Final Test) and terminology.
  • Detail Oriented: Ability to manage complex spreadsheets and data sets with high accuracy.
  • Communication: Strong ability to bridge the gap between technical engineering requests and supply chain realities.
  • Agility: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where priorities change rapidly (e.g., resolving sudden production holds).

What We Offer:

  • 100% Remote: Work from home, no relocation needed.
  • Global Team: Collaborate with industry experts worldwide.
  • Competitive Pay: Market-aligned compensation package.
