Objective

Perspective Therapeutics is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Supplier Quality Specialist to join our team. This individual will play a critical role in evaluating, assessing, and managing the quality and compliance of our supplier network. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supplier quality management, regulatory compliance, and supplier audits, ensuring that all suppliers meet regulatory requirements, industry and company standards for quality, safety, and performance.

Essential Functions

Supplier Evaluation & Onboarding:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of new suppliers to ensure they meet the company's quality standards, regulatory requirements, and operational needs
  • Lead the supplier qualification process, including audits, on-site assessments, and risk evaluations, in conjunction with Purchasing and Supply Chain colleagues
  • Coordinate the collection and review of necessary documentation such as certifications, test reports, and supplier capabilities

Quality & Compliance Monitoring:

  • Monitor and ensure supplier adherence to quality control processes, product specifications, and industry regulations as applicable
  • Develop and maintain compliance checklists, scorecards, and performance metrics for ongoing supplier evaluations
  • Track and report on supplier non-conformances and work closely with suppliers to drive corrective actions and continuous improvements

Supplier Audits & Inspections:

  • Lead and participate in supplier audits to assess adherence to quality standards, legal compliance, and contractual obligations
  • Prepare audit reports, track action items, and collaborate with suppliers to implement improvements where necessary
  • Review and follow up on audit findings, ensuring timely resolution of any identified issues

Collaboration & Supplier Development:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for suppliers regarding quality concerns, compliance questions, and improvement initiatives
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., Procurement, Manufacturing, Legal) to align supplier quality expectations with internal requirements
  • Assist suppliers in developing and maintaining quality management systems (QMS) and drive performance improvements

Compliance Reporting & Documentation:

  • Maintain up-to-date records of supplier certifications, audit reports, quality metrics, and compliance documentation
  • Prepare regular reports on supplier quality performance for internal stakeholders, identifying trends, issues, and areas for improvement
  • Ensure that all supplier quality-related documentation complies with relevant industry regulations and internal policies

Continuous Improvement & Risk Mitigation:

  • Proactively identify areas for quality improvement within the supply chain, driving continuous improvement initiatives
  • Participate in risk assessments related to supplier performance and work with internal teams to mitigate risks
  • Ensure alignment with quality goals and regulatory requirements, supporting both short-term and long-term supply chain strategies

Qualifications

Education / Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Six Sigma, ASQ, ISO 9001 Lead Auditor) are a plus
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in Supplier Quality Management, Compliance, or a related field, preferably within a manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or regulated industry
  • Experience in performing supplier audits and inspections, understanding of quality management systems (QMS), and familiarity with relevant industry regulations (ISO, FDA, etc.)

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • Strong understanding of supplier quality control practices and industry standards
  • Knowledge of risk management and root cause analysis methodologies
  • Proven ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop corrective action plans
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and supplier management software tools
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally for supplier audits and assessments, as needed (possibly up to 50%)
