Crate is a music rating and review app. You rate albums, write reviews, keep a collection, and follow people whose taste you trust. It's on the App Store and Google Play.
So far there are 11,000 users and more than 120,000 reviews. I haven't spent a cent on acquisition. I built the whole thing solo while finishing my CS degree.
All of the growth has come from one TikTok account: @cratecollectiv.
I can't keep running the content and shipping the app at the same time anymore. I need someone to take the content side and own it with me.
The work
You decide what to make. Could be about music, could be about how the app works, could be something I haven't thought of. Mostly TikTok, but Instagram too, and probably X since a lot of music people are there. About ten a week. Short-form, fast turnaround, we work out the format as we go.
The pay
€600 a month to start, plus bonuses when a video does well. If it's working, the monthly goes up and we carry on past August into a longer role.
You'd be the second person on a product 11,000 people are actively using. You'll have real input into what we build and how we talk to people.
How to apply

- A strategy doc. Spend some time with the TikTok, install the app, read the comments. Then tell me what you'd do. Whatever format works for you.
- Three things you've made. Can be a painting or a wrestling championship. Anything that shows me how you think.
If you get the role, the strategy doc is paid: €200 on top of your first month.
