Accountabilities
- Support daily inventory cost rolls and production job closing functions.
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations as assigned.
- Analyze plant performance, investigate variances, and provide actionable insights to improve operational efficiency.
- Contribute to annual financial statement audits and assist with documentation for internal and external reviews.
- Collaborate on special projects as assigned, supporting the Director of Cost Accounting, Corporate Controller, and North American entities.
The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting foundation, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Required qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
- Proficiency in MS Office, including intermediate-to-advanced Excel skills.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a focus on customer service.
- Ability to work with a sense of urgency while maintaining high accuracy.
- Ability to travel occasionally for conferences or company site visits.
- 1–2 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
- Experience with cost accounting or inventory analysis in a manufacturing environment.
