About the Opportunity:
This organization is seeking a Staff Accountant to join the Corporate Accounting team and support ongoing growth. The role involves supporting day-to-day accounting operations and maintaining accurate financial records and reporting. The Staff Accountant will work closely with senior team members on core accounting functions such as processing invoices, preparing journal entries, and supporting the month-end close process.
Responsibilities:
• Assist with general ledger accounting functions, including cash, fixed assets, and prepaid expenses
• Prepare journal entries and perform account reconciliations for balance sheet and income statement accounts
• Support the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to gather information and resolve accounting-related questions
• Help maintain and follow documented accounting policies and procedures
• Assist with year-end audit requests and regulatory filings
• Support ad-hoc projects and process improvements as assigned
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 1 to 3 years of accounting experience in private industry or public accounting preferred
• Understanding of GAAP and basic accounting principles
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team
• Strong attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Nice to have:
• Experience in digital healthcare
• Experience with NetSuite
• Experience streamlining processes
Compensation:
• Salary range for this remote position is $60,000 to $65,000 USD
