Sr. Strategy Manager - Strategy Operations

The Strategy Operations team is the strategy house for TELUS Global Operations, partnering with team members across all levels of the organization to shape and articulate strategy into succinct action-oriented artifacts. The successful candidate has confidence in pulsing in and out of a wide variety of initiatives including executive-facing strategic program updates, financial & sales performance reviews, and supporting critical projects.
The team and the role:
● Connect the dots between day-to-day activities, in-quarter performance, and strategic initiatives with the broader TELUS Global Ops strategy
● Lead strategic planning exercises with the TELUS Global Ops leadership team, including facilitating discussions, preparing agenda and briefing materials
● Partner with the leadership team to develop critical program strategy from ideation, socialization all the way through to planning
● Work in concert with the Performance & Planning team on risk reviews and mitigation plans, including support consolidating business benefits
● Provide support on ad hoc deep dives and critical projects as required, including business casing and preparation of briefing materials
What you bring:
● Practiced storyboarding skills with the ability to build skeleton slide decks quickly and efficiently that can convey complex themes simply
● Known for your exceptional verbal and written communication skills, such as building succinct presentations or articulate briefing documents
● Relentless curiosity about the broader organization, with a “can do” attitude and approach to navigating a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
● Recognized as a collaborative team player and thought leader, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels and seek alignment when needed
● Superior organization and program management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities with a sense of urgency
● Strong analytical skills and high degree of comfort with financial metrics
● 3+ years experience in a strategy, planning or consulting role
● 2+ years experience in telecommunication, with strong understanding of the end-to-end mobility and home solutions business
● Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or other related field
