This role will identify, structure, and deliver cross-functional programs that create new commercial opportunities, drive strategic value, and position Everbridge as a trusted leader within the technology, security and Critical Event Management (CEM) landscape.

What You'll Do
- Strategic Leadership
- Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of strategic initiatives, from opportunity assessment through to execution, transition, and monetization.
- Together with the Corporate Development team and Everbridge executive team, build and deliver a multi-year strategic roadmap aligned with Everbridge’s corporate objectives and growth strategy.
- Drive alignment and accountability across senior leadership, ensuring all initiatives support long-term growth, operational resilience, and market leadership.
- Serve as a key advisor to the executive team on strategic opportunities, market expansion, and potential alliances.
- Identify and lead the development of strategic partnerships, alliances, and initiatives that strengthen Everbridge’s position across industries and solution areas.
- Structure and negotiate complex commercial arrangements, including partnerships, joint ventures, and new go-to-market constructs.
- Evaluate and prioritize strategic opportunities through financial modeling, market analysis, and value realization frameworks.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Product, Marketing, and Operations to ensure initiatives are executable, scalable, and financially accretive.
- Leverage knowledge of the security, risk intelligence, and critical event management sectors to identify and pursue high-value opportunities.
- Understand how evolving threats, regulations, and enterprise resilience needs create commercial and partnership opportunities for Everbridge.
- Align strategic initiatives with the company’s mission to help organizations anticipate, mitigate, and respond to critical events more effectively.
- Build partnerships that enhance Everbridge’s capabilities in areas such as situational awareness, risk data, operational continuity, and incident response.
- Oversee execution of multi-phase strategic programs, ensuring timely delivery, cross-functional engagement, and measurable outcomes.
- Establish a repeatable, agile framework for evaluating, prioritizing, and delivering strategic initiatives.
- Ensure smooth transition of mature initiatives into the business for operational ownership and monetization.
- Maintain transparent communication and governance across all stakeholders and executive sponsors.
- Maintain a forward-looking perspective on industry trends, competitive dynamics, and innovation in the security and CEM sectors.
- Build and nurture executive-level relationships with partners, thought leaders, and ecosystem players.
- Represent Everbridge externally in strategic forums, partnerships, and events that strengthen market visibility and leadership positioning.
- 12+ years of progressive experience in business development, strategic initiatives, or corporate development, preferably within security, resilience, SaaS, or enterprise technology.
- Proven success leading strategic partnerships or programs from conception to commercialization.
- Deep understanding of Critical Event Management, enterprise resilience, and security technology ecosystems.
- Strong negotiation, financial, and strategic planning skills with the ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder engagements.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and executive stakeholder management skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, or related field; MBA preferred.
