Key Responsibilities
- Translate and interpret documents, audio, video, or live conversations accurately between Spanish and English (or other target language).
- Ensure translations maintain original tone, style, and cultural nuance.
- Proofread and edit translated materials for quality, grammar, and clarity.
- Utilize CAT tools (Computer-Assisted Translation) like SDL Trados or MemoQ.
- Adhere to project-specific terminology and style guides.
- Manage workload, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines effectively.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bilingual Fluency: Native/near-native in both Spanish and English (written and spoken).
- Cultural Competence: Deep understanding of cultural nuances and idioms.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with MS Office, internet, and translation software.
- Soft Skills: Excellent attention to detail, time management, communication, and research.
- Education/Certification: Degree in Linguistics/Translation or relevant certification (e.g., ATA) is a plus.
