Emphasizes developing sophistication in communication and connects Spanish to contemporary issues in Latin America and Spain.
- Curriculum Awareness & Adaptive Instruction: Familiar with Spanish 3 curricula and common challenges such as mastering subjunctive triggers, distinguishing por from para, and comprehending native-speed audio materials. Adapts instruction using authentic Spanish media, extended writing projects, and Socratic discussion activities to support upper-intermediate learners preparing for AP Spanish Language and Culture or continued advanced study.
- Effective Teaching Methods: Ability to identify concepts students commonly struggle with, explain material using multiple approaches, and adapt instruction to meet individual learning needs and styles.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
