Regional Account Manager - Hypermarkets & Supermarkets

A fast‑growing premium food business is seeking a dynamic Regional Account Manager to drive commercial performance across key hypermarket and supermarket customers within the region. This role combines account management, customer development, and in‑store execution to accelerate brand presence and deliver strong, sustainable growth across the Gran Distribución.
Account Management & Customer Development
- Manage and grow assigned regional customers within the hypermarket and supermarket channel (e.g., Carrefour, Alcampo, Eroski, Consum, regional cooperatives).
- Build strong relationships with store managers, regional buyers, and operational teams to deliver distribution, availability, and promotional targets.
- Lead commercial discussions at regional level to secure feature space, displays, and additional visibility.
- Execute the regional sales plan to meet revenue, volume, and margin objectives.
- Implement promotional activities, seasonal activations, and tactical campaigns, ensuring high‑quality execution in every store.
- Forecast demand and track performance, highlighting risks and opportunities early.
- Ensure optimal shelf presence, planogram compliance, and correct pricing in all assigned stores.
- Identify opportunities for incremental space, adjacencies, and improved category positioning.
- Conduct regular store visits, audits, and competitor monitoring within the region.
- Use regional market insights, shopper behaviour, and competitor data to shape recommendations and influence customer decisions.
- Provide clear feedback to internal teams on trends, challenges, and growth opportunities in the Gran Distribución.
- Work closely with Marketing, Supply Chain, and Trade Marketing to deliver best‑in‑class execution.
- Partner with national account teams to align regional plans with national strategies.
- Support the successful launch of new products at regional level.
- Proven experience managing regional supermarket or hypermarket accounts in FMCG-ideally within chilled, dairy, fresh foods, or premium categories.
- Strong understanding of Spanish Gran Distribución (modern retail) dynamics.
- Excellent relationship‑building skills with both store‑level and regional stakeholders.
- Commercially sharp with strong negotiation, planning, and execution skills.
- Highly organised, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, growing environment.
- Ability to analyse data and translate it into actionable plans.
- Valid driving licence and willingness to travel extensively within the region.
