Sourcing Specialist – Construction
6-month contract
Remote – Ontario $55 per hour
Our client, a prominent higher education institution in Ontario, is seeking a Sourcing Specialist to lead procurement initiatives for their facilities and capital projects portfolio. This 6-month initial contract is tailored for a professional who can navigate the specific nuances of the broader public sector while working in a fully remote capacity.
The successful candidate will take full ownership of the procurement process for small-scale construction projects, ensuring institutional goals are met through transparent and efficient sourcing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute the complete sourcing process for minor construction and renovation works, from the initial identification of needs through to final award.
- Ensure every procurement activity aligns strictly with the Ontario Broader Public Sector (BPS) Procurement Directive and relevant institutional guidelines.
- Build strong working relationships with campus facilities teams and administrative leads to define project scopes and expectations.
- Lead the development and issuance of competitive bidding documents (RFPs, RFQs) to ensure a fair, open, and transparent vendor selection process.
- Manage the administration of construction-specific contracts, ensuring all terms, conditions, and project milestones are clearly defined and upheld.
