Job Title: Sourcing Manager (Clinical Operations / R&D)

Overview
The Sourcing Manager will lead strategic sourcing initiatives primarily within the Clinical Operations and R&D category, with opportunities to support additional indirect procurement areas as needed. This role partners closely with cross-functional stakeholders to drive value through effective supplier selection, contract negotiations, and spend optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead sourcing activities including RFPs, supplier selection, contract negotiation, and supplier onboarding
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies to optimize cost, cash flow, and supplier performance
- Analyze and track spend to identify savings opportunities and value-creation initiatives
- Partner cross-functionally to understand business needs and align sourcing strategies accordingly
- Manage supplier performance through SLAs and KPIs to support ongoing and future negotiations
- Support global sourcing efforts, including clinical trial-related services, as required
Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive procurement experience, including strategic sourcing, cost modeling, and category management
- Strong experience in indirect/services procurement; global clinical trial sourcing experience preferred
- Pharma, biotech, or life sciences experience with knowledge of drug development processes strongly desired
- Proven negotiation skills with strong business and financial acumen
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders
- CPM or CPSM certification is a plus
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Master’s degree or MBA preferred
