About the Opportunity: The Software Test Engineer will lead the development and execution of the test strategy for a complex cloud-based data and analytics platform. This role is responsible for designing automated testing frameworks that cover infrastructure, data pipelines, APIs, and user workflows while embedding quality assurance into continuous integration and deployment processes. The position is critical to ensuring the performance, reliability, and security of systems that support key operational decisions
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive test strategies for a cloud-native data platform
- Design and implement automated testing frameworks across infrastructure, data, APIs, and workflows
- Integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code deployments
- Collaborate with data engineers, cloud engineers, security teams, and product owners
- Mentor junior testers and contribute to testing standards
- Serve as a quality advocate within the program
Qualifications:
- Experience designing and executing test strategies for complex software systems
- Proficiency in creating and maintaining automated test frameworks and reusable libraries
- Experience testing cloud-based architectures, data platforms, and distributed systems
- Skilled with Python testing frameworks such as PyTest
- Experience in API testing and backend validation
- Experience validating data pipelines, ETL processes, and data quality
- Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or SAFe methodologies
- Ability to document and communicate test results to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of software testing experience, or 14+ years without a degree
Pay Range and Compensation Package: The projected compensation range for this position is $86,900.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). Salary is determined by factors including location, education, skills, experience, and organizational requirements
