We are looking for an experienced Software Project Manager (Installations) with strong technical aptitude—particularly in server infrastructure, network configuration, and medical Treatment Planning Software (TPS)—to join our Nordic team.
In this customer‑facing role, you will manage end‑to‑end delivery of software projects from Sales Order to final acceptance. Projects typically involve enterprise healthcare IT systems, Treatment Planning Software, system integrations, and capital equipment requiring rigorous planning and coordination with clinical and technical stakeholders.
Travel within the Nordic region is expected at 20%–30%.

What You Will Do
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle
- Conduct onsite visits (approx. three per project per year) to review facility readiness, IT infrastructure, and installation planning
- Work closely with customer IT teams to ensure:
- Server environments and OS configurations meet project requirements
- Network design, segmentation, firewall settings, and bandwidth support system performance
- Data storage, backup processes, and cybersecurity standards align with Varian system needs
- Issue and present technical requirement documentation tailored to customer environments
- Review Sales Orders and evaluate technical dependencies
- Manage installation schedules, budget targets, and resource allocation
- Oversee equipment shipment, readiness checks, and commissioning coordination
- Advise customers on complex facility and IT readiness requirements, including safety standards, system layout, and environmental needs
- Prepare installation reports, risk assessments, and schedule analytics
- Build deep expertise in Varian’s product ecosystem, Treatment Planning Software, and oncology workflows
- Stay current with building codes, safety regulations, IT best practices, and Varian data package standards
- Share lessons learned and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support continuous improvement
- Experience in Project Management, Field Service, Healthcare IT, or Engineering
- Strong understanding of:
- Server administration (Windows Server preferred)
- Network design, VLANs, firewalls, routing, and security principles
- Client–server architecture and enterprise software deployment
- Experience or familiarity with medical Treatment Planning Software or other clinical IT systems (e.g., PACS, EMR, Oncology systems)
- Excellent customer service mindset with the ability to manage diverse stakeholders
- Fluency in a Scandinavian language and English (written and spoken)
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Visio, Office Suite, AI tools, and general IT productivity software
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Workday) desirable
- Knowledge of Varian’s software suite is a strong advantage
- Strong communication and networking skills
