Are you the volunteer/Social Media specialist and animal lover we are looking for? (4-6 hours per week / remote)
About us
Animal Heroes is a growing international emergency aid organization with headquarters in the Netherlands. We help local “Animal Heroes”: people who rescue, protect, and care for animals during acute emergencies under difficult circumstances. We have supported animal heroes in various regions, including Ukraine, Spain, Turkey, the West Bank, Lebanon, Uganda, and more.
Our professional team of 28 volunteers from 14 different nationalities has extensive experience in animal charity organizations, corporate business, veterinary science, marketing, logistics, and finance.
Our goal is to help animals by raising awareness and funding for Animal Heroes projects with donors, media, and corporate sponsors. We are not a political or activist organisation. Our sole focus is on emergency aid for animals.
What will you do?
- You develop posts (visuals and copy), feed, and manage social media accounts.
- Together with our marketing & communication team you will develop/optimise our social media strategy and execution.
- You help managing our content calendar.
- You measure and report on the performance of social media channels, gain insight and optimise our social media efforts accordingly.
- You engage with the users that interact with the social media accounts.
Who are you?
- You are an animal lover that wants to contribute to the Animal Heroes cause and objectives by helping to optimise our social media presence for an average of 4-6 hours hours per week.
- You have experience managing social media platforms with a focus on Facebook and Instagram. TikTok and LinkedIn are considered a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (additional language is considered a plus).
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite and/or Canva.
- You are communicative and you built strong relationships with your colleagues.
- You have a creative mindset and a you are a constructive problem solver.
- You are enthusiastic and caring about our foundation culture and objectives.
