Allow us to introduce ourselves.
We’re Gene, a purpose-led, brand-obsessed, and human-centric marketing agency, designed to make health the dominant force in our society. Our mission is to empower health disruptors who prioritize consumer control and choice, while maximizing the power of brand experience.
We’re looking for a Social Media Manager to support one of our most exciting clients—a healthcare brand redefining access, equity, and experience for the people it serves. If you're passionate about building brands that make people feel something—and do something—this could be your role.
Role Summary
You’ll be responsible for supporting and executing an organic social media strategy that builds brand love and drives meaningful engagement. From Instagram Reels to TikTok trends, from LinkedIn commentary to carousel storytelling—you’ll bring the brand voice to life with confidence, clarity, and creativity.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and post content across platforms including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook, and X
- Build compelling, high-frequency short-form content (Reels, TikToks, Shorts) that educates, entertains, or empowers
- Collaborate on content calendars and campaign planning tied to brand goals
- Help translate complex or regulated topics into accessible, thumb-stopping content
- Support community engagement and monitor for timely responses
- Track and report content performance in tools like Google Sheets and Monday.com
- Stay tuned into social trends, creators, and cultural moments—and help the brand participate with relevance and authenticity
What You Bring
- You’re fluent in social culture, not just social platforms
- You understand how to build community, not just rack up likes
- You write with voice, edit with style, and post with purpose
- You’re curious, proactive, and collaborative—never waiting for permission to add value
- You bring empathy to your work and believe content can help make care more human
Requirements
- Experience in social media content creation (professional or portfolio-based)
- Strong writing and visual storytelling skills
- Working knowledge of short-form video creation (TikTok, Reels, Shorts)

- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related field
Bonus Points For
- Experience in healthcare, health tech, or mission-driven brands
- Exposure to influencer/creator programs
- Familiarity with social listening and publishing platforms
- A portfolio that showcases social storytelling across multiple channels
