We are Mercury Admin Solutions. A team of talented virtual assistants that help with business and personal tasks, allowing individuals to focus on what's important to them. We have years of experience in executive or personal assistant roles, office administration, graphic design, web design, and well... you get the picture.


Mercury Admin Solutions is looking for a Junior Social Media Assistant who wants hands-on experience managing real business accounts and building confidence in social media execution. This is a great opportunity if you enjoy writing, staying organized, and want to grow your skills in content creation and digital marketing.


Responsibilities

  • Post consistently (three posts every day)
  • Set up and manage Facebook and Instagram business pages
  • Repurpose content across platforms while adapting to each platform’s tone
  • Schedule posts and maintain a consistent brand voice
  • Basic engagement support (comments, likes, DMs as directed)
  • Follow content direction and brand guidelines provided


Requirements

  • Proven experience managing LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram for a business or brand
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and meet daily posting deadlines
  • Familiarity with scheduling tools (Meta Business Suite, Buffer, Hootsuite, etc.)
  • Organized, self-directed, and dependable


Nice to Have

  • Experience working with service-based or professional brands
  • Basic understanding of content strategy and analytics
  • Canva or simple design experience

Compensation

  • $500 to $800 CAD per month depending on experience
  • Contract position with potential for long-term collaboration


Additional Information:

  • This is a remote position.
  • This role is offered as an independent contractor position.
  • We are only accepting applicants who currently reside in Vancouver, BC, Canada at this time (with a preference for Surrey/Delta residents)
