Duties & Responsibilities:
  • We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented social media and web moderator to join our team. You will work closely with the Media Department — including a graphic designer, media editor, translator, and video & motion designer — to manage, monitor, and enhance our online presence and community engagement.
  • Develop and implement effective moderation and engagement strategies across all social media platforms and the organization’s website.
  • Monitor, review, and moderate all user-generated content and interactions inaccordance with the community guidelines and moderation policies.
  • Build and execute social media plans through audience analysis, platform benchmarking, and message development to ensure consistent and safe communication.
  • Generate, edit, publish, and share daily multimedia content (text, images, videos) that foster meaningful interaction and community growth.
  • Manage and update website content regularly to ensure accuracy, relevance, and alignment with the organization’s communication strategy.
  • Set up, optimize, and maintain social media and website pages to maximize visibility, user engagement, and positive community interaction.
  • Create and maintain editorial calendars, ensuring timely and coordinated posting across social and web platforms.
  • Track, analyze, and report engagement metrics and web traffic to improve moderation efficiency and online communication performance.
  • Prepare and use formal communication tools (letters, presentations, announcements) for online campaigns and events.
  • Support CFJ management in relevant communication and online moderation tasks as needed.

  • Market research and strategic social media plan
  • Updated calendar with relevant events and online campaigns
  • Manage and oversee social media platforms and website content
  • Measure the success of all social media campaigns
  • Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices and technologies
  • Monitor SEO and user engagement and suggest content optimization

Job Requirements:Relevant Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years in social media.
  • Background about the human rights field.
Education:
  • A bachelor’s degree in media or any relevant major is an asset.
  • An academic degree in the relevant field is an asset.
Technical Knowledge/ Skills/ Training Required:
  • Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, and other social media best practices
  • Proven working experience in social media marketing or as a Digital Media Specialist
  • Excellent consulting, writing, presentation, and communication skills
  • Writing skills both in English and Arabic.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and maintain a positive and friendly attitude at all times
  • Strong planning, organizational and leadership skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office program and related software.
  • Proactive, creative, and self-motivated.
  • Ability to work within a team.
  • Monitor SEO and user engagement and suggest content optimization
  • Good time-management skills
  • WordPress general knowledge is an advantage
Computer Skills:
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
Language Ability:
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Arabic.
Working Conditions:
  • Working on weekends with replacement days off
