Financial Shared Services Center Manager (Remote, full-time) 90-105K
Job purpose
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced finance professional to lead our Group Shared Service Center (SSC) for global transactional accounting operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy, efficiency and compliance of Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and General Ledger (GL) processes across a diverse group of legal entities around the globe.
Next to the daily operations we have always projects on the roadmap - in which you will play a key part! We are expanding quite fast and next to sustainable growth we are on a buy and build strategy and because of this you will need to onboard and integrate new acquisitions. We are also in the process of rolling out NetSuite throughout the whole finance organisation. As a SSC manager you will also play a key part in further standardize, improve and automate our processes and you will be the main drives for these changes.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team management
- Lead and develop a high performing global team of 8+ Accounting professionals.
- Lead the further development of financial processes and systems for the SSC.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability.
Operational Excellence
- Oversee end-to-end transactional accounting activities (AR, AP, GL) for 20+ legal entities across 5 continents.
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closings.
- Drive standardization and automation of processes across the regions.
Compliance & Controls
- Maintain strong internal controls and collaborate with regional Financial Controllers to ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards
- Collaborate with Business Controllers to ensure timely and accurate management reporting
Systems & Reporting
- Collaborate with IT and Finance colleagues to further roll-out and optimize ERP usage and reporting tools.
- Monitor KPI’s and service levels, providing regular performance updates to senior leadership.
- Support the integration of newly acquired entities into the share services model.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as key point of contact for regional controllers and external partners.
Profile
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experiencein finance operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience managing global teams and multi-entity environments.
- Strong knowledge of international accounting standards and regional GAAP’s.
- Proven track record in rolling out ERP systems (eg, Oracle Netsuite), process improvement and change management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent in English; Dutch is a strong plus.
