We have a current opportunity for a temporary Sensory Consumer Research Specialist at Friesland Campina in Wageningen.


Important:

  • Remote working with occasional on-site sessions by agreement
  • Open for freelancers (ZZP)


Assignment Purpose

Enable data-driven, consumer‑centric decision making in cost‑reduction projects by coordinating outsourced sensory consumer tests, ensuring data quality, and translating insights into clear, actionable deliverables for internal stakeholders.


Project Responsibilities

  • Track and manage pipelines within cost‑reduction workstreams to identify when prototypes/products are ready for consumer validation.
  • Define testing needs (sample, methodology, KPIs, timelines) and coordinate commissioning of external sensory consumer research across Europe.
  • Ensure high-quality data delivery by reviewing outputs from agencies and validating alignment with FC KPIs and quality standards.
  • Translate consumer test results into clear, decision‑ready one‑pagers, dashboards, and summaries for internal teams.
  • Proactively engage with R&D and project stakeholders through clear and timely communication (no fixed check‑ins required; freelancer fully manages approach)


Expected Deliverables

  • A testing plan per project, including scope, KPIs, methodology, and timelines.
  • Validated datasets with comments highlighting risks, anomalies, or required follow-up.
  • Insight summaries (one‑pager or equivalent) per consumer test with clear recommendations.
  • A simple overview/dashboard of project status and completed consumer validations.
  • Professional communication with agencies and internal teams to keep progress moving without requiring structured check‑ins.


Profile Requirements

  • 8+ years of proven hands-on experience in qualitative and quantitative sensory consumer research.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Proficiency with EyeQuestion and R.
  • Experience collaborating with or managing external sensory consumer agencies.
  • Self‑directed, autonomous, able to deliver outcomes independently.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English (spoken and written).
