Senior Vice President, Operations

Location: Remote (U.S.) | Reports to: CEO | Company: CyberGuard Advantage

Who We Are:

CyberGuard Advantage is a modern cybersecurity compliance and advisory firm helping organizations navigate today’s complex risk, privacy, and regulatory environments. With deep expertise across SOC, PCI, HIPAA, HITRUST, ISO, and other cybersecurity frameworks, we serve clients ranging from Fortune 50 enterprises to fast-growing startups across North America and beyond.

As we expand globally and scale our professional services delivery, we are seeking a Senior Vice President of Operations to lead our next phase of growth.

The Opportunity

The SVP of Operations will be a strategic partner to the CEO and executive team, responsible for leading CyberGuard Advantage’s people, processes, and technology across the professional services organization.

This role requires a hands-on operator with credibility in cybersecurity compliance advisory, proven experience in organizational transformation and M&A integration, and the ability to scale operations intelligently from ~$10M to $75M+.

The SVP will own operational excellence, client delivery, and growth enablement—ensuring that delivery, renewals, upsells, and customer success are seamlessly integrated.

Key Responsibilities

Professional Services Leadership

  • Lead and optimize global teams delivering cybersecurity advisory and compliance services (SOC, PCI, HIPAA, HITRUST, ISO).
  • Partner with delivery leaders to ensure projects meet client needs with precision, efficiency, and measurable outcomes.
  • Bring credibility through prior client delivery experience and ability to “speak the language” of cybersecurity compliance.

Organizational Change & M&A

  • Lead operational transformation during mergers, acquisitions, or major restructuring.
  • Drive change management strategies that align teams and maintain engagement during times of transition.
  • Oversee integration of people, processes, and systems post-acquisition.

Executive Leadership

  • Serve as a member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT/ELT), contributing to strategy and executive-level decision-making.
  • Align operations with company objectives, providing insights on organizational performance, trends, and resource needs.
  • Act as a trusted partner to the CEO and Board.

Growth & Scale Enablement

  • Build systems, processes, and structures that enable scalable, efficient delivery.
  • Implement playbooks for growth as the company scales from ~$10M to $75M+.
  • Partner with GTM leadership to ensure alignment between sales, onboarding, and service delivery.

Project Management & Operational Rigor

  • Define operational priorities and drive initiatives to completion.
  • Create a metrics-driven operating rhythm—focusing on utilization, delivery timelines, NPS, renewals, and financial outcomes.
  • Hold teams accountable through strong project management discipline.

Automation & Efficiency

  • Identify and implement automation opportunities in service delivery, reporting, and operations.
  • Collaborate with technology leaders and the Office of the CTO to adopt tools that improve scalability and efficiency.

What You Bring

  • 15+ years of progressive leadership in professional services, ideally cybersecurity compliance, risk, or advisory.
  • Direct client delivery experience early in career (credibility with practitioners and clients).
  • Demonstrated success scaling services organizations through multiple growth stages ($10M → $75M+).
  • M&A integration and change management leadership.
  • Track record as a member of an executive leadership team (SLT/ELT) in organizations of comparable size.
  • Strong project management discipline, operational rigor, and ability to drive accountability.
  • Data-driven decision-maker with proven pattern recognition and operational insight.
  • Automation-first mindset with experience applying technology to improve efficiency.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
