The Role

We're seeking a Senior Social Media Manager to lead our social strategy across all platforms. This person will manage a team, oversee day-to-day channel execution, build content calendars, manage reporting and insights, and guide internal and external creative resources to develop best-in-class social creative. This role requires a strong creative POV, a strategic vision and hands-on execution. You will architect and operationalize a social ecosystem that fuels brand awareness, follower growth, engagement and cultural relevance.


What You'll Do

Social Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and execute cross-channel social media strategies across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and emerging platforms
  • Establish the full-funnel role of social within the broader marketing mix, balancing brand building, community engagement, education, and conversion
  • Build monthly content calendar including testing plans by channel, integrating insights, competitive trends, and cultural moments to continuously elevate social presence and improve performance
  • Identify white space opportunities and make recommendations based on audience behavior and platform trends
  • Collaborate with brand, creative, and product teams to ensure social strategy aligns with broader marketing initiatives
  • Lead a team and build processes and workflows that enable the team to work efficiently and cross-functionally at scale

Content & Creative Development

  • Develop content calendars grounded in marketing plans, social insights, cultural moments and always-on testing strategies
  • Work with Creative team to produce high-performing organic content that drives engagement and follower growth
  • Ensure all content maintains scientific accuracy while remaining approachable and relatable
  • Partner closely with Marketing, Brand and Creative leadership to create social-first campaigns that amplify product launches, clinical research, and brand moments
  • Lead roadmap development for new series concepts and long-form storytelling, ensuring resources and timelines are aligned to goals

Community Management

  • Build and nurture community through authentic engagement, responding to comments/DMs, and fostering meaningful conversations
  • Partner with Customer Service team to respond to customer questions 

Performance & Optimization

  • Own social media KPIs including reach, engagement rate, follower growth and traffic
  • Conduct regular performance analysis and provide actionable insights to leadership
  • Try new content formats, messaging, and creative approaches to optimize performance
  • Monitor social listening and sentiment, translating insights into strategy refinements
  • Track competitive landscape and industry trends, making recommendations for how Perelel can differentiate
  • Stay ahead of platform trends, best-in-class creators, and competitive benchmarks; regularly share POVs and recommendations with leadership

Influencer & Paid Social Collaboration

  • Partner with Performance Marketing team to inform paid social strategy with organic insights (and vice versa)
  • Identify high-performing organic content for paid amplification
  • Partner closely with Influencer and Ambassador teams to brief and create high-quality native social content that deepens brand storytelling and drives measurable results


What You Bring

Required

  • 5-7+ years of social media experience, preferably in consumer health, wellness, beauty, or DTC brands
  • Proven track record of owning, building and scaling multiple social channels including Instagram and TikTok (and preferably YouTube) 
  • Deep platform expertise across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube with understanding of algorithm changes and best practices
  • A strong creative POV paired with analytical rigor including setting and reporting on KPIs (engagement rate, reach, follower growth, traffic)
  • Test and learn mindset with the ability to translate insights into actionable content strategy, testing frameworks and performance roadmaps
  • Experience managing content creation processes from ideation through production and publishing, including hiring and managing internal teams and external partners/agencies
  • Understanding of community management and how to build authentic, engaged audiences
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth organization with shifting priorities and ambitious goals
  • Exceptional communication skills, project management ability and cross-functional partnership
  • Portfolio demonstrating strategic thinking and creative execution that drove results
  • Experience working in women’s health, maternal health or mission-driven brands is a plus
