THE POSITION
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager with extemsive expertise in Digital Asset Management (DAM) to lead the strategic implementation of the next generation asset management ecosystem for FIFA’s Brand division. The Senior Project Manager will have a deep understanding and expertise in Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems and the development of such systems (incl new technologies such as AI). This is a high-impact, cross-functional role supporting the digital transformation of FIFA’s brand infrastructure, enabling centralized asset control, metadata governance, and seamless distribution, and will require the management of the system provider, the involved stakeholder groups and working closely with FIFA Technology as part of a project team.
These are your key tasks:
Project Ownership & Strategic Leadership
- Lead end-to-end design and implementation of the DAM platform from system evaluation through to go-live (incl. training) and post-launch optimization.
- Translate brand, content, and business needs into detailed technical and functional system requirements working closely with internal stakeholders in coordination with the system provider.
- Build and manage project governance models, including stakeholder alignment, decision-making processes, and roadmap delivery, time and budget control.
- Define asset workflows, metadata schemas, taxonomy, and access rights in line with brand governance standards.
- Oversee integration with other digital enterprise platforms Partner with FIFA Technology and external provider to ensure secure, scalable, and user-centric system architecture.
- Map and implement end-to-end digital asset lifecycle workflows – from ingestion and tagging to distribution and archival.
- Manage migration strategy from legacy environments, ensuring data integrity, asset traceability, usage transparency whilst aiming for minimal disruption.
- Define training, onboarding, and documentation programs to drive system adoption across all user stakeholder groups.

The specific competencies we require for this position are:
- Proven expertise working with leading DAM platforms.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in project / program management, with at least 4 years in DAM or similar system implementations in creative, media, entertainment, fashion, FMCG or sports organisations.
- Strong understanding of asset lifecycle management, metadata modelling, taxonomy governance, rights management, and content distribution workflows.
- Solid technical background with experience integrating systems across marketing stacks.
- Proficient in project management tools (e.g. Jira, Smartsheet, Asana) and collaboration platforms (Confluence, Miro, SharePoint).
- DAM/MAM platform configuration, metadata strategy, system integrations.
- Workflow design, user adoption, training, documentation.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Digital Media, or a related relevant discipline.
- Relevant Project management training /certification.
- Strong understanding of brand and content governance, control and protection.
- Profound knowledge of asset life cycle management, metadata modelling, taxonomy governance, rights management, and content distribution workflows.
- Fluency in English.
- Proficiency in any other FIFA language (F / ES / GER) is a plus.
