Our client, a global leader in consumer technology, is seeking a Senior Program Manager to support one of their core product teams focused on private messaging. This team plays a critical role in shaping the way billions of users around the world communicate with their friends, family, and communities. The ideal candidate will bring strong program leadership skills, a user-centered mindset, and deep experience collaborating with product design and engineering on consumer features.
This is a high-impact opportunity for a detail-oriented and strategic program manager who can drive cross-functional execution across design, product, and engineering—particularly in usability and product design projects.

Location: Preferably onsite Menlo Park, CA but open to remote PST
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional workstreams to improve efficiency and visibility across the Messaging product area.
- Manage usability and design-focused initiatives from planning through execution, ensuring integration of product, design, and technical components.
- Drive alignment between product managers, designers, engineers, and other key stakeholders, ensuring clarity around goals, timelines, and deliverables.
- Establish and manage communication plans for stakeholders at all levels, including regular status updates and risk mitigation strategies.
- Identify areas to improve operational excellence and help scale program management best practices across the team.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven success managing consumer product programs, with a strong emphasis on product design and usability.
- 8+ years of experience in program or project management, preferably in consumer tech.
- Experience working in a mid-sized organization on consumer-facing features.
- Deep collaboration experience with design teams—not just as a stakeholder, but as an integral partner in the product development process.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with an ability to clearly present to both design teams and executive-level stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex programs and adapt to evolving priorities.
- Excellent understanding of product development processes and tools (e.g., G Suite, Sheets, Docs, Slides).
- Coachable, collaborative, and highly self-motivated.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing or supporting technical teams of 20+ individuals.
- Familiarity with usability testing, product research, and user experience best practices.
- Hands-on experience working with Agile and/or Scrum methodologies.
- Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PMI) is a plus.
- Personal experience with messaging or communication platforms is helpful.
- Prior experience working in a fast-paced environment at scale is strongly preferred.

This role is focused on internal product development and usability efforts, not external partnerships. Candidates whose backgrounds are heavily oriented around partner enablement or third-party integrations will not be considered for this opportunity.
Compensation Range:
$80-$100/hr
