Title: Senior Policy Manager

Location: WFH Candidates must be based in Belgium or Sweden

Assignment Length: Long-term assignment with potential for extension or conversion to full-time employment (FTE)

Schedule: 40 hours/week, standard business hours (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM)

Languages (in order of priority) : English, French, Spanish, Dutch

Travel: Frequent travel required (2–3 times per month); travel expenses will be reimbursed by Lyft

Interview Structure: 2 Rounds - 30mins Manager Screen -> 30mins Panel Screen (1-2 Team Members)

Responsibilities: Internalize and help develop business roadmap based on knowledge of local European markets and procurements Engage in the “pre-tender” process in key markets to align forthcoming procurements with approach to station-based micromobility. Coordinate extensively with internal cross-functional teams to represent business priorities and competitive advantages. Represent in trade associations and in public forums such as conferences, panels and to the press. Design and execute a government relations strategy for shaping the regulatory environment in target markets. Oversee Public Affairs consultants in key regions. Select and manage a portfolio of advocacy and industry partnerships focused on a range of topics, including industry regulations, thought leadership in urban planning, and the growth of micromobility to achieve broader climate and equity goals. Strategically support lead generation for the Enterprise team by participating in the cross-functional pre-bid process and bid submissions. Collaborate with senior leaders in operations, finance, supply chain, science and product/engineering to design and execute policy strategies for individual markets. Engage with a range of external stakeholders, including public sector partners, policymakers, industry representatives, enterprise customers to support program success and market expansion.


Requirements

Experience: 7+ years of experience in campaign strategy, community organizing, politics and/or government relations for micromobility or a parallel industry.

Deep familiarity with the European market (Familiarity with Latin America, the Middle East and Asian markets a plus) Expert writing skills

Fluency in multiple languages (preferably English, French, Spanish and German)

Experience managing projects within a small team in a large company is preferred

Experience managing public affairs consultants and external partnerships a plus Entrepreneurial spirit – ability to take a project from start to finish when needed Experience working with public sector partners and strong political acumen

Experience working cross-functionally in a business environment Familiarity with public bidding processes preferred

Experience in urban transportation and micromobility strongly desired

Position based in the EU with regular travel to current and target markets
