Location: Remote, USA

At Wealthbox, we serve thousands of financial advisors with our modern CRM software, which provides an easy way to manage client relationships, organize and execute workflow processes, and collaborate with a team in a powerful and beautiful software solution. We’re investing aggressively in product innovation and growing fast, and we need someone exceptional to lead our accounting function as we scale.

We’re looking for a Senior Manager of Accounting who’s ready to own it. You’ll run month-end close, perfect our revenue recognition, build scalable processes, and partner directly with leadership to establish world-class accounting infrastructure. This isn’t a “maintain the status quo” role – you’ll have the opportunity (and expectation) to refine what’s here, fix what’s broken, and build systems that scale with our growth.

If you’re the type of person who gets genuinely energized by clean books, efficient closes, an opportunity to be a strategic partner, and building something from the ground up – and you want to do it at a company with serious momentum, and a product people love – this is your opportunity.

What You’ll Do

Month-End Close & Financial Reporting

  • Own the end-to-end monthly close process and drive continuous improvement toward a 5-7 day close cycle
  • Own revenue recognition processes and ensure ASC 606 compliance across monthly, annual, and multi-year subscription contracts
  • Prepare accurate, timely financial statements, management reports, and board materials
  • Lead account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies with precision and urgency
  • Partner with FP&A on variance analysis and deliver actionable insights to leadership

Accounting Operations & Systems

  • Optimize our accounting tech stack (Rillet, Stripe, Brex) to drive efficiency and automation
  • Establish and document accounting policies, controls, and standard operating procedures
  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable workflows
  • Build scalable processes and infrastructure that support rapid company growth

Team Development & Collaboration

  • Partner closely with leadership on audit preparation, investor reporting, and strategic finance initiatives
  • Act as a thought partner – bring ideas, challenge assumptions, and drive better outcomes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Finance, People Ops, and other departments to align accounting practices with business operations, support strategic decision-making, and improve financial processes and controls

What We’re Looking For

  • 4-6+ years of accounting experience in public accounting (Big 4/regional firm) or in-house at a high-growth company; SaaS experience preferred
  • CPA strongly preferred
  • Deep expertise in revenue recognition (ASC 606) with hands-on experience implementing and optimizing rev rec processes
  • Experience with modern ERP systems (Rillet, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or similar), billing platforms (Stripe), and expense management systems (Brex, Ramp)
  • Systems-savvy with a strong bias toward automation and using AI/technology to drive efficiency
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong ownership — you catch discrepancies before they become problems and proactively implement solutions without being asked
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and work well under deadline pressure
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex accounting topics for non-finance stakeholders and serve as a true partner to leadership

Work schedule

  • Full-time, weekdays during business hours (fully remote)
  • Occasional travel for industry conferences and company offsite events

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation
  • Comprehensive health plan coverage
  • 401k plan
  • Paid time off
