THE OPPORTUNITY
Fintechs Canada is looking for a Senior Manager, Member Relations: a builder, connector, and executor who will be central to how our association runs and how our members experience it.
Reporting directly to the Executive Director, you will serve as the primary point of contact for our member community. You are as comfortable stewarding a new member through onboarding as you are overhauling a workflow or running a high-stakes event. You will own the full sponsorship lifecycle, from strategy and prospecting through fulfillment, ensuring every partnership delivers tangible value for sponsors and Fintechs Canada members alike.
We are a small, high-output team. You'll spot what's missing before anyone asks, and take the lead on following through. Attention to detail is a must.
While experience across member relations and operations, events, and sponsorship is ideal, candidates must bring demonstrated strength in member relations and event execution. Sponsorship responsibilities can be developed over time.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
I. Member Relations & Engagement - 50%
- Lead Fintechs Canada's membership growth strategy: attract new members, deepen participation, promote retention, and maintain current knowledge of the fintech ecosystem including emerging players, trends, and events.

- Design, implement, and continuously refine operational processes across membership recruitment, onboarding, events, and related administrative functions, including managing the association's CRM, member databases, and relevant project management tools.
- Contribute to the design of member programming, including webinars, events, and sponsorship opportunities, and gather, analyze, and act on member feedback to continuously strengthen the Fintechs Canada value proposition.
- Support financial administration including invoicing and dues tracking, in collaboration with the Executive Director and finance partners.
II. Stakeholder & Partner Coordination - 20%
- Lead the association's sponsorship strategy design and execution, identifying opportunities for successful partnerships that support our mission and add value to our members.
- Manage sponsor relationships and fulfillment of partnership commitments with professionalism and follow-through.
- Maintain productive relationships with external partners, sponsors, industry event organizers, and other relevant ecosystem stakeholders.
- Represent Fintechs Canada externally at industry events as required.
III. Event Planning & Execution - 30%
- Lead end-to-end planning and delivery of Fintechs Canada events, in partnership with sponsors and partners.
- Develop and manage event timelines and project plans; flag risks early and adapt when circumstances change.
