Role Overview
As a Federal Sales Engineer on the Public Sector team, you operate as the CTO of your territory. You’ll own the technical strategy across the full sales lifecycle, including how the product is positioned, demonstrated, evaluated, and validated. You’ll build deep relationships with customers, prospects, and partners while driving technical wins and shaping long‑term adoption.

What You’ll Do
Sales & Territory Leadership
• Partner with Public Sector account executives to develop and execute strategic account plans
• Collaborate with Public Sector marketing to drive brand awareness and pipeline growth
• Focus on acquiring new federal customers while expanding existing accounts
Technical Ownership
• Lead all technical aspects of sales opportunities, ensuring the technical win
• Work closely with customers to understand their software development, security, and deployment processes
• Identify how modern DevSecOps, container security, and software supply chain solutions can address mission needs
Customer Engagement
• Deliver product demonstrations, technical deep dives, and proof‑of‑value engagements
• Advocate for customer needs internally to influence roadmap and product direction
• Support customer growth and expansion through ongoing technical guidance
Market Presence
• Represent the company at webinars, conferences, meetups, and Public Sector–focused events
• Contribute to thought leadership and technical credibility within the federal ecosystem
What We’re Looking For
Required Experience
• Experience working with the DoD and/or Intelligence Community
• Active TS/SCI clearance
• Familiarity with federal accreditation and security frameworks such as:
• NIST 800‑53
• NIST 800‑215
• FIPS 140‑2 or 140‑3
Technical Expertise
Significant experience in one or more of the following areas:
•DevOps / DevSecOps
• Container technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, Podman, etc.)
• Container vulnerability scanning, analysis, and mitigation
• Application Security (AppSec)
Other Requirements
• Ability to travel ~25%
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams
• Demonstrated ability to influence, inspire, and lead customers toward the right solution
