Job Title: Senior Electrical Commissioning Specialist

I’m currently partnering with a top-tier engineering & commissioning firm supporting hyperscale data centers and mission-critical facilities across the U.S. They’re looking to add an experienced Electrical Commissioning Field Specialist II to their growing team. This is a high-impact, senior field role for someone who enjoys autonomy, technical leadership, and working on complex electrical systems that cannot fail.
The position
- Execute on-site inspection, validation, functional testing, and troubleshooting of electrical systems
- Lead commissioning activities for mission-critical facilities
- Direct contractors and vendors during testing and startup
- Participate in factory witness testing
- Develop commissioning plans, pre-functional checklists, and test scripts
- Review drawings, submittals, and sequences of operation
- Manage site teams, schedules, risks, reporting, and client communication
- Leverage digital and AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency and consistency
Could this role be for you?
- Strong hands-on experience commissioning electrical infrastructure
- Advanced knowledge of electrical systems
- Ability to lead field teams and interface directly with clients
- Comfortable working independently in a remote, travel-heavy role
- Proficiency with MS Office and technical documentation
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction, or related field OR 2+ years hands-on electrical experience & 8+ additional years in electrical installation, testing, validation, and troubleshooting
- Up to 75% travel across the U.S. (potential international work)
- Must live near a major airport
- Valid driver’s license required
