I’m currently partnering with a top-tier engineering & commissioning firm supporting hyperscale data centers and mission-critical facilities across the U.S. They’re looking to add an experienced Electrical Commissioning Field Specialist II to their growing team. This is a high-impact, senior field role for someone who enjoys autonomy, technical leadership, and working on complex electrical systems that cannot fail.


The position


  • Execute on-site inspection, validation, functional testing, and troubleshooting of electrical systems
  • Lead commissioning activities for mission-critical facilities
  • Direct contractors and vendors during testing and startup
  • Participate in factory witness testing
  • Develop commissioning plans, pre-functional checklists, and test scripts
  • Review drawings, submittals, and sequences of operation
  • Manage site teams, schedules, risks, reporting, and client communication
  • Leverage digital and AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency and consistency


Could this role be for you?


  • Strong hands-on experience commissioning electrical infrastructure
  • Advanced knowledge of electrical systems
  • Ability to lead field teams and interface directly with clients
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote, travel-heavy role
  • Proficiency with MS Office and technical documentation
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction, or related field OR 2+ years hands-on electrical experience & 8+ additional years in electrical installation, testing, validation, and troubleshooting
  • Up to 75% travel across the U.S. (potential international work)
  • Must live near a major airport
  • Valid driver’s license required
